Our RCT Process

Diagnosis

This phase involves a comprehensive examination of the tooth, including symptoms assessment and X-rays to determine the extent of damage or infection. Symptoms like severe pain, sensitivity to hot or cold, or swelling might indicate the need for a root canal.

Cleaning

After removing the pulp, the dentist cleans the inside of the tooth and its root canals. This process involves using disinfectants and small files to remove bacteria, debris, and any remaining infected tissue.

Filling

Once the canals are cleaned and shaped, they are filled with a biocompatible material, usually a rubber-like substance called gutta-percha. This material seals off the canals to prevent bacteria from re-entering and causing further infection.

Pulp Removal

This phase involves a comprehensive examination of the tooth, including symptoms assessment and X-rays to determine the extent of damage or infection. Symptoms like severe pain, sensitivity to hot or cold, or swelling might indicate the need for a root canal.

Shaping

The dentist shapes the canals to facilitate proper filling. This step ensures that the canal space is prepared to receive the filling material effectively.

Restoration

Depending on the extent of damage, a temporary or permanent filling may be placed to seal the opening in the tooth. In many cases, a crown is recommended to protect and restore the tooth’s function and appearance, especially if a significant portion of the tooth structure was removed during the procedure.
